Yes, Postmortem Activity is one of the more gruesome wonders of nature. In this video, the tube worm Chaetopterus variopedatus, whose head was cut off at least 10 minutes prior, still tries to feed with its third segment and rear body. Logically enough, when very traumatized they are more likely to excrete and then attempt to feed through their inadequate remaining bodily segments.
